Man, Blizzard keeps putting Nova in stuff, from bits of Starcraft II, to Heroes of the Storm, to this mini campaign thing. Look dawg, I hate to break it to you, Blizz, but you never actually released Starcraft: Ghost, and I don't think that many people actually like Nova that much as a character.

What I'm saying is I'd much rather play the mini campaign based around Sgt. Hammer.

I love how completely insane StarCraft has gotten.

Also the pricing seems quite high.

Brad got the pricing wrong, it's $7.49 per pack, or $14.99 for all three.

@foggen: it's a thing with starcraft/RTSes to keep your actions per minute (apm) high. Maybe force of habit as i don't think brad does much multi starcraft 2 anymore.

Someone scream at me if i'm wrong, though.

@ripelivejam: Yeah, I knew what that was. Pro players seem to twiddle a lot in the beginning, presumably to wind up for the actual craziness later. I just thought it was funny that he was compulsively rapid-clicking to move a single character through a tutorial area.

It's a very not serious sci-fi. Sometimes it goes into anime territory even. Everything is possible in those. And maybe the boob armor is not actually solid metal. So whatever.

The technical term for these non-base missions in a base-centric RTS is 'Bad'. These are Bad missions.

I'd agree with your sentiment in Warcraft 1, Warcraft 2, Starcraft 1, and Warcraft 3, but in Starcraft 2 I thought they were actually kinda fun and engaging.

wonder if the starting cut scene was something from Ghost that never got used. Also this feels very much like the final Warcraft 3 stuff (playing the Panda) right before they moved everything to MMO. Might be a hint they are planning a new direction for the Starcraft license.

Brad made it sound like it was $15 per pack or $30 to get them all.

@crimsonjester: Blizzard specifically answered that question last Blizzcon, it's a totally new thing, perhaps story bits have been recycled but most if not the entirety of it is unrelated to whatever was supposed to happen in Ghost.

Soooo with the 80's-esque "Subliminal Messages Will Set You Free and/or are a Sign of Brainwashing", can someone please confirm that Nova Covert Ops is really a video-game adaptation of They Live?

Because I would pay money for that.

Wasn't Nova supposed to be some kind of crazy psychic force-of-nature as per the crazy anime direction Starcraft went in? Like I seem to remember there was a bunch of stuff from her and Tosh's storyline in Wings of Liberty that got into some strange territory.
